The week is coming to an end, so you need to carefully plan your weekend. To facilitate this work for you, we offer a selection of interesting events where to go in Lviv for the weekend of February 24-25.
Brothers Gadyukiny in Lviv
We begin our selection with a concert by the legendary Ukrainian rock band “Braty Gadyukiny.” Connoisseurs of the work of “Gadyukins” will be found both among adolescents and among their parents. And this is not surprising, because the group began its activities in 1988, and their cult songs are still heard at music festivals (which is only worth the song “Faine misto Ternopil”!).
So, in Lviv, there will be a concert of “The Hadyukin Brothers” called “Tycho.” Why is that? The band members gave a clear and brief answer to this question:
“We announce Quiet Time! No, sleep, conical, will not work. Just beat the vowel sounds!.. Let’s get together, play, sing together, share, etc. Quietly, but with zeal. “

Meeting-reflection “The voice of war: to see to hear”
This event is extremely important because it will be held to honor the memory of all defenders who laid their lives for the preservation of the independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine in the war with russia. The format of the event is more debatable than entertaining. Despite this, according to the organizers, it is important not to forget that the war lasts not two years, but ten.
At the meeting-reflection, many important topics for our society will be touched upon, namely: What conclusions can we draw by reviewing the retrospective of the war? How have the tactics of fighting in the context of a full-scale invasion changed? Are “exchanges of experience” with the armies of European countries appropriate? How much did the “military decade” influence changes in Ukrainian society? What is the “phenomenon of Ukrainian volunteering” and are Ukrainians ready to accept the “veteran” reality? And most importantly, what else can we do to win?
This event is an ideal option for those who like discussing topical issues and exchanging views with other people.
It is noteworthy that the meeting participants are competent experts from various fields:
- Roman Kechur – psychiatrist, psychotherapist, psychoanalyst, public figure, head of the Department of Psychology and Psychotherapy of UCU;
- Andriy Kharuk – military historian, professor of the Department of Humanities of the National Army Academy named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi, teacher of the discipline “History and Theory of Modern Wars” of UCU;
- Bogdan Cordoba – writer, poet, publisher, founder of UA Comix publishing house, public figure and invincible volunteer since 2014;
- Special guest – journalist, political scientist, coordinator of many art festivals, participant of the Russian-Ukrainian war since 2014.
- Moderator: Oleg Yaskiv – scientist, soldier, director of the Sheptytsky Center.
